Here we explain the course structure, with a few extracts from our SQE1 Prep materials.
1. Personal Study Guide and Progress Dashboard
Your tailored, flexible online BARBRI Personal Study Plan (PSP) guides every assignment and activity throughout your entire BARBRI SQE1 Prep course. It is your online learning portal, where you can access your video lectures, digital workbooks and MCQ practice questions and mock tests. This is also where you can customise your calendar to block out the dates you won't be available for studying. The PSP will then automatically schedule the bite-sized learning modules around your available time, so all you have to do is log in, and follow the next module in your plan. If you happen to fall slightly behind, the PSP will recalibrate to help you catch up.
You'll find that that the modules don't follow one topic from start to finish. Our learning science is based on spaced repetition, so we'll introduce a topic, introduce another, then go back to the first, then introduce topic number, etc, all the way to the end of the course. That way, all material stays fresh in your memory, ready to take the exam!
Lastly, the progress dashboard is where you'll track your progress, and see your MCQ and test scores for the different subjects, helping you to identify your weaker areas.

2. Online, On-Demand Video Lectures
BARBRI SQE1 Prep has the best faculty in exam preparation, consisting of experienced English solicitors and barristers who teach you the substantive law for each subject.
The teaching materials and workshops are wholly examination-driven. They are carefully crafted to convey what you need to know in each subject. Materials are recorded and available to each candidate online throughout the programme.

3. BARBRI SQE1 Prep Workbooks
Each candidate is supplied with a full set of workbooks - in printed and digital format - for their studies. These workbooks are specifically focused on the subjects examined in the SQE1. The digital workbooks are available in your PSP, where you can highlight text, make notes and bookmark pages.

4. Multiple-Choice Questions
During your SQE1 Prep course, you will have access to more than 3,000 practice multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to master the techniques and outcomes tested on the SQE1 exam.
Also known as "single-best answer questions", the SQE's MCQs poses a question with a list of several plausible answers - your job is to find the answer that is the most appropriate of all. This format takes some getting used to, and our huge bank of MCQs will help you master this type of exam. Our practice questions don't just tell you whether you're right or wrong, but we also explain in detail why "a" was the correct answer and why "b", "c", "d" or "e" couldn't have been the right one.
Our learning and practice question sets build in difficulty over time and utilise spaced repetition to boost learning and retention.

5. SQE1 Mock Exam
In addition to the main practice multiple choice questions, there will be several multiple-choice practice tests delivered in exam style. This means that the student must complete all the questions before they can see the answers. We still provide the students with detailed explanations of each question, including why the right answers are correct and why the wrong choices are incorrect. There will be 8 mock tests throughout the course, which will include two 90-question practice tests for each of the two assessment areas. Finally, the SQE1 preparation course concludes with a full simulated exam which will replicate the SQE1 assessment specification, a full test of 360 questions.
6. Unlimited One-To-One Learning Coach Sessions
All SQE Prep students have access to Learning Coaches, qualified solicitors who assist with legal queries, and a Performance Coach who mentors you throughout your exam preparation. Our Learning Coaches also conduct livestream workshops, provide tips, and help you with any study issues.
